First, make sure the version of Internet Explorer is the most current available (at least version 5.5):
This can be checked under Help -> About Internet Explorer
Then check Internet Explorer settings to make sure it’s configured correctly:
Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Restore Default
Tools -> Security -> Restore Default
Tools -> Security -> Custom Level -> Active Scripting (near the bottom of the list – make sure it’s checked)
Tools -> Security -> Custom Level -> Enable Scripting of Java Applets (at the bottom of the list – make sure it’s checked)
Tools -> General -> Settings -> Check for newer versions of stored pages: Every visit to the page (as shown in following image):
